Stayed a few nights
If you are looking for the perfect north Georgia mountain experience look no farther as Alan’s cabin will exceed your expectations! The cabin is spacious, clean and comfortable with everything you could want or need during your stay. The king-size bed in the loft was very comfortable, and there are four other bedrooms, one with another king bed, in this large cabin if you need them. We really enjoyed watching the large flat screen tv at night from bed as we had many channels from which to choose. There are lots of games including ping pong and a pool table on the ground level. In the morning we woke up in awe of the view before sunrise. It is the best view we have ever seen in the north Georgia mountains. It felt very private too even though there are other cabins nearby so you don’t feel isolated. Alan is a fantastic host and truly enjoys making his guests stays enjoyable. I am a coffee lover so the complementary coffee station was a nice touch! There is nothing like having your coffee on the deck overlooking that view! Book it!

Stayed with kids
Wonderful and comfortable stay with family on our semi-annual reunion weekend. Wooded location is great for its peacefulness and extraordinary views of the North Georgia mountains. Plenty of room and activities for the younger generation in the game room when in the home along with a well-stocked kitchen. Hot tub was an added bonus.

Stayed with a pet
This was our family’s second stay at Bald Eagle Lodge. This time we were celebrating our granddaughter’s 16 birthday. She and her bestie enjoyed the games and amenities on the lower level game room! Although it rained most of the time, there was plenty to keep them amused while the adults played games and enjoyed views. Thanks for sharing your beautiful place! We had a great time.

Group trip
The cabin was amazing. It had everything we wanted and more. The location was perfect because it was only 11 minutes from Helen, but we also had privacy. And the views were spectacular. Thanks to Alan for everything and for always being attentive. We spent more time at the cabin than expected, since it had everything we needed to have a good time.

Wonderful stay with unbeatable views. So much room to spread out and be comfortable. Well-appointed / stocked space too. Everything was in great working order. Perfect for a secluded, peaceful stay!

We absolutely loved this place! It’s perfectly situated near Helen but very secluded and peaceful to get away. Our large group absolutely loved our time here and would love the chance to come and stay here again someday.

We rented this home for a surprise birthday party for my wife. We had family members come in for the weekend from all parts of the country. Everyone raved at how nice the place was--and the views are spectacular. Alan was very detailed in his communications, and everything went as planned. Awesome place and would go back the next time we want a cabin in the mountains.

Group trip
We had a wonderful stay at Alan’s Bald Eagle Lodge. The property is beautiful and the views from the cabin cannot be beat. We especially enjoyed watching the sunrise over the mountains. The location is nice because it feels quiet and secluded, but it is also just a short drive from downtown Helen. As far as amenities go, we had everything we needed. Alan offered us great suggestions for things to do nearby and was very helpful and easy to communicate with. The place was very clean and tidy. We ended up having 10 people and there was plenty of room for everyone to stay very comfortably. I would definitely recommend staying at this beautiful place if you are in the area.

The scenery is gorgeous and just like the pics. My teens and adult children loved the game room and hot tub. We spent our Christmas here and the host was kind enough to leave a decorated Christmas tree. The home is beautiful with plenty of space. There were 6 of us, including our 4 children, and we each got our own rooms. The kitchen had most of what we needed to make a big Christmas dinner and the few items we missed, we found at the local Dollar General store, which wasn't too far away. There were plenty of trash bins for clean up. Checking in and out had reasonable rules. The cabin is not too far from Helen. We had just as much fun checking out the antique shops as we did downtown Helen. As for the cabin, we only wish we had more time to enjoy this beautiful place with our family...time went very quickly. The host was very responsive and friendly. We felt blessed to be here!

This cabin was beautiful! Alan was amazing at answering any questions I had and he even provided us with multiple things to do in and around the area. The cabin had plenty of blankets, pillows and towels. The beds were super comfy and the downstairs game room was fantastic for our group to spend some quality time together. Above all the view from the cabin was breathtaking! Definitely a place I will be visiting again in the future!

We stayed at this cabin with two other families. We had a ton of room and the double level porch made the scenery even better! There is tons of stuff to keep you occupied at this cabin including a hot tub, ping pong table, pool table, etc. The 6 kids (ages 10-14) enjoyed the cabin. The adults did as well! There are wineries within less than 15 minutes from the cabin (We like The Cottage the best.) The cabin is only about 15 minutes from Helen as well. Great location, beautiful cabin, and excellent communication from the owner! We will definitely book this cabin again if we have a large group going.

With 5 bedrooms, the house was perfect for our large group. Views were spectacular! We enjoyed the sunrise each morning from the deck, and it was nice to have so much outdoor seating. The loft suite had amazing views as well, and all the windows on the main level made for lots of light. We also loved that dogs were allowed so our furry family members could join us. I’m sure we’ll return again!

My family getaway was amazing because of this cabin. I have been visiting this area for years and so far the location is unmatched. The views are STUNNING and BEAUTIFUL. Waking up everyday and looking out of the large windows and doors at the mountains was breathtaking. My family and I stayed outside on the deck most of the time just to take in the views. The basement, the kids stayed there the entire time being entertained with all of the games and activities, which was a plus! The place was clean and stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Alan was an excellent host, he provided all necessary information for the cabin and surrounding areas. He was very responsive when needed. We would definitely stay here again.
